In the latest advertising campaign of the lingerie company Lake And Stars, a mother snuggles up to her 19-year-old daughter, which of course tripped the fuse for many. As surprising as it is, the two designers didn't aim to shock people, they just wanted the photos to start talking about things they wouldn't otherwise want to talk about, in this case, how younger women relate to older women.

“When you see the photos, the question arises as to which of them is sexier, because there is always someone who is hotter, there is always a little competition. In addition to tenderness, there is also tension. Is it okay for mother and daughter to be gentle with each other? What if they're both in sexy clothes?” one of the brand's designers, Maayan Zilberman, told the Huffington Post.

He added that, in his opinion, there is nothing shocking in the campaign, their goal is not to make people feel uncomfortable, that is not how they want to generate controversy. "We simply want to draw attention to a few topics that people don't talk about very much," said Zilberman, who along with his partner likes to portray ideas that people take too seriously, of course just so they can talk about them with some humor. Most of all, of course, they also like to deal with topics related to being a woman, i.e. women at work, family policy and the like.

By the way, the photos are not professional models, but Zilberman's two neighbors, who have a very special relationship."They behave very lovingly and gently with each other. This is the essence of the photo series and the collection. They are part of something that we have not necessarily experienced in our own lives. I wanted people to see the connection between them. I think this is very rare, you don't see that much," said the designer. Apparently, the H&M brand had a completely different drive when they asked Jerry Hall and his daughter, Georgia May Jagger, to star in their latest ad campaign. For them, the determining factor was not the chemistry, but the celebrity factor, yes, and unlike the mother-daughter duo in the Lake And Stars ad, they really earn their living as models.
