Sugarbird avoids the crisis, so much so that instead of a fashion show, they directly organized a festival for their fans. At the brand's spring event, eight collections were presented - many designers, such as Márta Makány, still don't have a frame - and eight performers entertained the audience, most of whom were not invited semi-celebrities or journalists, but fans who paid for an entrance ticket - this also shows that there is a demand for this for the style.

On the part of the organizers, this is already a good move, but it is an even better idea to parade the clothes with enthusiastic amateurs instead of models, as in the case of the Sugarbird and the city collection, where the names of the cities printed on the t-shirts are one by one, the a girl from a given place walked the runway. Anyway, the festival was quite well organized, although it was impossible to know in advance how much time it would take to disrupt so many programs, but they reassured me on the spot that the show would last two hours in total, that it would not drag on until dawn, and that there would be no marathon breaks, and they kept their word..

True, there was a delay of half an hour, but after that the events picked up, the singers and the collections came one after the other, although it didn't make much sense to present these clothes - in vain, in principle, most presentations don't make sense. Most of the clothes are simple ready to wear, i.e. just the kind of stuff that you could come across in any fast fashion store.

Or even if it's not there, the Sugarbird store has these curls hanging on a hanger, and it doesn't take much imagination to imagine how a printed T-shirt would look on us. Instead of a festival, the event could also be called a performance, as the amateur models parade down a sloped catwalk in pajama-like clothes during Adél Csobot's live performance. Well, let's look at the collections in order, if that's why we went there.

1. Sugarbird and the city collection

This collection reaches the heights of the March 15 collection, both in terms of creativity and execution. You have to imagine the following: white, gray and black T-shirts were printed with the names of smaller and larger cities and a couple of typical motifs from the given city. Enthusiastic amateurs from the cities march to the music of Sex and New York (what else!) on the catwalk, jeans go with T-shirts, the whole thing is a bit like a beauty contest, they used to hold a T-shirt-jeans tour there. Unfortunately, it's less interesting if you've seen a T-shirt with a city name, you've seen them all.

2. Sona Skoncova - Pretty Women collection

Pretty Women's ball gown is very fashionable, of course it also made it to the catwalk, in the collection of a previously unknown Slovak guest designer, Sona Skoncova. Nothing was revealed about Skoncova at the event, but fortunately she has a website, she is also a glam model, only Slovak. In his collection, by the way, there were lacy tops of amazing cut and material, body-hugging sets and dresses held on the back with thick, black rubber bands. The back of the clothes were mostly very mushy, with thick, frilly zippers and the above-mentioned rubberized parts, but they showed off the wearer's qualities advantageously from the front.

3. Dukai Regina- Love Essence and Flowerbomb collections

The brand has been associated with Dukai Regina for years with looser, cuter clothes, and this was also the case: the Love Essence collection is just as direct as all the collections so far, if you love, you need a heart motif everywhere. Now, however, the hearts appeared not printed, but cut into the material, and the holes appeared on the chest or back of brightly colored cotton dresses. The name of the Flowerbomb collection was probably not inspired by Victor & Rolf's perfume of the same name, but by the multitude of flowers appearing on all the catwalks around the world. So you can guess why the collection has such a name: because there are plants on the clothes. We're starting to get tired of such direct references, but that's not the point: many floral dresses are like a pile of tangled material, we don't really understand who wears such things, but the colors and patterns are really beautiful most of the time.

4. Csilla Tatar - Color it again! collection

Csilla Tatár is the latest celebrity to be inducted by the brand alongside her exes Kedves Ferenc, she gave her name to very simple, colorful clothes and printed t-shirts with, for example, a yellow phone booth. We saw very unfortunate floor-length cotton skirts and very few t-shirts. There were also particularly bad products, on which the color pairing was not even right, but there were one or two loose dresses, which are perfect for summer.

5. Zita Debreczeni - Paparazzi collection

Recently, Zita Debreczeni is not a model, but a photographer, her life is about photography, so her collection must also be about it. This could be approached in many ways, but the designers don't even try: Lady Gaga's Paparazzi song comes on and the girls start marching in camera-patterned tops. The last time we saw as many cotton T-shirts as at the Sugarbird festival was at the New Yorker sale. A pair of well-tailored white dresses, which we can imagine Zita Debreczeni would wear, were paraded among the natural-colored, unpatterned dresses.

6. Bódi Sylvi - Dolce Vita collection

Then a Vespán Bódi Sylvi rolls in, almost invisible but in crotch lace minishorts: at least she appeared on the catwalk of the collection bearing her own name. The Dolce Vita collection, the advertising photos of which we have already reported on, is exactly as we thought: it is characterized by a lot of lace prints, tight-fitting bodysuits, mini dresses, even more rayon and really slutty clothes, which will surely come in handy for a bachelorette party. Oh, and scooter prints. Now we really don't want to see any more prints on tops. Never. And we haven't even mentioned what was under Bódi's collection: Lasciatemi Cantare by Toto Cotugnó.

7. Linda Zimány - Rodeo Drive collection

We lost the thread a bit here, because we went to the buffet, where we thought the reality TV show Mafioso Wives was being filmed, but only the guests were drinking wine in complete peace. By the time we got back, we saw that the models were walking around in ripped tracksuits and athletic shoes with the words Rodeo Drive, this was Linda Zimány's Rodeo Drive collection, which won some beauty contest in America. There were also fishnet tops and thigh-high maxi dresses, but check them all out in the gallery instead!

What else would be included in Linda Zimány's Rodeo Drive collection if not a top with the words Rodeo Drive?

8. Lola - Starshine Festival Collection

Lola is also fresh meat in the team, we thought they would come up with a much wilder collection under her name, but instead of rock sets, new printed t-shirts followed. Smileys come on the back of smileys, there are mustaches, pixelated ones, all kinds of things that are said to be cool these days. The mustache was cool until now, or not until now. In any case, there will be fans and customers, that's for sure, so it's not such a bad idea to print t-shirts in large quantities and advertise them with glam models - perhaps this is the lesson at the end of the one and a half hour event, which ends with a cake and posing with star designers, if there is any lesson for a fashion show. Instead of moralizing, look at the clothes in the gallery!
