We have long guessed that the secret to the sophisticated style of A-list celebrities lies in a carefully chosen stylist. And thanks to the recently started Blockbuster season, marathon premieres, interviews and film festivals are hitting each other all over the world, which also pose a tough challenge to stylists.

The editors of fashionista.com asked one of Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Kate Bosworth and Sienna Miller's favorite stylists, Cher Coulter, about her exciting job and the difficulties that come with it. See how a really cool stylist works these days!

How much work does a major press tour require?

Requires a lot of planning. First of all, you have to keep in mind who the target audience of the film is and where it will be shown. If the film promises to be a huge box office success, then the client needs to be made stylish, tasteful and attractive to a wider audience. All this while staying true to your own personality. It takes several weeks of research to find the perfect dress, I usually start my search in showrooms.

A stylist must be aware of current trends while still keeping in mind the tastes of their clients. Keeping up with Style.com is essential to the job. Personally, I like to find the "gems" of the given collection. Once you have the dress, the shoes and other accessories can come in the second round. And as a final step, we take a photo of everything before sending it to the customer.

Are all sets pre-planned or are there "extras" in case one outfit doesn't work?

Each outfit is pre-scheduled, often these tours sweep from city to city with the client sitting from one interview to the next. It is also part of the stylist's job to check what the client will be wearing in the coming days. We must be able to make the celebrities trust the chosen outfit and go to the interview in it. So-called extras are used only if the dress or jacket turns out to be too small. I also try not to have the same shoes in many places.

Do you try to coordinate clothes with other stars?

I think it's good to know what other people are wearing so you don't end up looking the same on the red carpet. It's even worse when they march in completely different clothes. There is always a narrative to this event, but most of the time the girls wear whatever they want.

What difficulties do you have to face during such a tour?

Coordinating clothes and making sure the client arrives on time is a big challenge, which is often stressful. Clothes are in high demand worldwide and often only one sample is available. The stylist chooses the dress for the client in Los Angeles, but then the PR company organizes the trip for them to Paris and then directly to Brazil.

What's the worst thing that's ever happened on a celebrity tour?

The worst thing happens when the hairstyle and makeup contradict the look. The stylist does not always know which event is when and where. Even though the hair and makeup styles were no doubt discussed in advance; they may change due to the weather, mood or feedback.

Where do you gather information to collect clothes?

My clients are all aware of current trends, so it's more of a collaborative process. I gather inspiration from fashion magazines and Style.com. This is the fun part of the job, a kind of dress-up game.

Are there events or places where you have to put yourself out there more, or is the audience more conservative?

In Paris, Japan or London, I'm always excited at red carpet events. Events abroad are always a big challenge for me.

What were your favorite clothes you gave to celebrities?

All my clients looked amazing in their dresses. I loved the Kate Bosworth McQueen dress she wore to the 2009 Vanity Fair party. Her hair, make-up and shoes also matched, she was amazingly painted. I also loved Rosie Huntington Whitely's mustard-black Gucci dress worn at the 2011 Moscow Film Festival, but my favorite is Elizabeth Olsen's black Dior dress, which I chose for her at the 2012 Oscars Vanity Fair after party. Also, Sienna Miller's YSL dress was very popular at the GI Joe premiere in Los Angeles.
