The English retailer Harvey Nichols likes to draw attention to itself with one or two more sinister advertisements. This year, headless chickens in various designer clothes are running around in their ads. "We built the campaign on the fact that our sales often cause irrational excitement in customers. The headless chicken analogy captures this theme in a fun and light way," Julie Bowe, the company's marketing manager, explained the obvious to the Daily Mail.

Three ads were made, one shows the chickens in a MSGM lace dress, the other in a Zegna sports vest, and the third with a Valentino clutch.

"It's never easy to come up with a great Harvey Nichols campaign. We ran around like headless chickens until we came up with the idea," joked Ben Tollet and Emer Stamp, the two heads of the advertising company adam&eveDDB, which created the ad. The images were photographed by Daniel Stier. When they came up with a - according to Harvey Nichols - lighthearted advertisement last year, many people were freaked out and fiercely attacked them on Twitter. Back then, there were girls on the poster who seemed to pee from excitement/joy/coolness.
