Who wouldn't want a very delicious, icy, cooling drink in this sultry heat? You know the picture, when the cold refreshment causes steam to condense and small drops slowly descend down the outer wall of the glass, don't you? And when you sip into the glass? Well, this is exactly the scene you can think of when the air conditioner in the office/car/apartment has broken down, or you struggle in vain to relieve the heat, and small drops of sweat bead on your temples.

We are the same way, which is why we have collected some very delicious speci alty alcoholic drink recipes. Of course, we don't necessarily recommend that you drink these drinks during the day on weekdays, but the fair is free on weekends, so you can try them all.

Cucumber Sangria

Cucumber has a lot of good effects, it is worth preparing this refreshment for this reason alone. You don't need too much, it's made up of the following:

  • 1 cucumber (the seed part in the middle must be cut out) sliced
  • 1 lime sliced
  • fresh mint leaf
  • 1 dl lemon or lime juice
  • honey to taste
  • half a bottle of dry white wine
  • half a liter of very cold carbonated water
  • a mint leaf is recommended for decoration

Mix all the ingredients together and leave the drink in the fridge for at least 2 hours. Once the flavors have blended well, fill a large pitcher with ice cubes, then add the already chilled drink and mix well with a wooden spoon. Bear in mind that once you start drinking, you can't stop. Tip: if you want to spice up the drink with even more fruit, honeydew melon or plain cantaloupe also give it a very good taste.

Strawberry, currant vodka

  • 2 dl good quality vodka
  • 8 strawberries/two handfuls of currants
  • 8 dl lemonade
  • strawberry pieces and mint leaves for decoration

Fill the pitcher with ice cubes and pour in the vodka, lemonade and sliced strawberries/cleaned currants. Of course, if you want something stronger, you can simply pour in a little more vodka.

Blue curaçao with pineapple

One of my favorite drinks when I was young was Blue curaçao. I probably liked it more for its color than its taste, and this is no different. It also lends a great color to this cooler, and of course it also tastes good.

  • 4 glasses of ice cubes
  • 2.5 dl pineapple juice
  • 1 dl blue curaçao
  • 1 dl white rum
  • 1 dl condensed coconut milk
  • cocktail cherry and pineapple for decoration

Put the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Then pour the drink into glasses and decorate the glass with the fruits.

Almost Mojito

This is one of the best refreshments I've tasted. Mint and basil have a refreshing effect, lime quenches thirst, and rum makes you pleasantly intoxicated. It's basically a Mojito, only with honey instead of sugar syrup and a little extra basil.

  • A bunch of mint and basil leaves
  • Squeezed juice of 2 limes
  • 1 l soda water
  • 3 dl white rum
  • for sweetener, honey if necessary
  • a lot of broken ice

Crushed ice is recommended for this drink, as it would be unlucky to put it in a blender because of the mint and basil only to have the ice cube crumble. So fill the pitcher with crushed ice, pour in the rum, lime juice, and soda, then pinch in the leaves and you're done.

Vino tinto, with fruits (wine with fruits)

I learned this recipe back in Spain, it's actually a completely simple drink, the point is that vino tinto is the base. Or other, dry, fine red wine. By the way, that's what we call it.

  • 2 lemons
  • 2 oranges
  • 1 l vino tinto/red wine
  • 2 apples

Throw half of the diced fruits into the pitcher, crush them with a wooden spoon, then fill the pitcher with ice. Pour the wine over it, throw in the rest of the fruit and you're done. It's really a great thirst quencher, but be careful, it can easily go to your head!

Strawberry, coconut milk and Malibu

Malibu also evokes the typical youthful party atmosphere, but in this version it is really a delicious cooler. Be careful though, it's concentrated as this isn't laced with a liter of soda.

  • 10 strawberries
  • 1.5 dl coconut milk
  • 3 dl strawberry liqueur
  • 3 dl Malibu

Put all the ingredients in a blender with plenty of ice and blend until smooth. If the lötty is very sweet, squeeze lime or lemon into it.

Cucumber with gin and tonic

Gin and tonic is one of the best thirst quenchers in the summer heat, especially if it is accompanied by snake cucumber.

  • 1/4 snake cucumber
  • 4 cl gin
  • 1.5 dl tonic

Put the gin, cucumber and a few ice cubes in a shaker, then shake everything thoroughly and pour into a glass. Top it all up with the tonic and add more ice cubes if needed. You really can't stop watching this!

Splash, splash, splash!!

Many people's favorite summer drink is spritz, it really doesn't matter if it's made from white wine or rosé, the main thing is that it's nice and cold. Of course, it doesn't matter what the quality of the wine is. Here, the proportions can be chosen freely, but in order not to drink the usual long step or joke, spice up the drink with a few herbs. The fresh mint leaves are very pleasant, and the rosemary and lemon grass are also very pleasant.

+1: Summer beer

It's the same with beer as with spritz, throw some crushed lemongrass or basil into the ice-cold beer, it will give it a very good taste.
