Although at home we are used to sponge-like cakes containing only flour, sugar and eggs, it is worth trying this yoghurt-butter version. Extra juicy, extra chocolaty (cocoa) and extremely simple: you only need one bowl, a scale and a wooden spoon as kitchen tools, but the result is a dense, yet not solid, not too sweet, very chocolatey cookie, and for the texture, baking powder and The sour yogurt that comes with the baking soda is responsible - it can only be replaced with buttermilk, not milk, otherwise our dough won't be nice and airy.

After that, it's up to us to decorate one of the easiest cakes in the world - whatever we use, it will take almost more time than getting the basic dough to the oven.

  1. Mix the first 6 ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add the lightly beaten egg, the lukewarm melted butter (or cooking oil), the yogurt and the hot water, and mix everything together until smooth.
  3. Bake in an oven preheated to 175 degrees, on the middle rack, lined with parchment paper, for 35-40 minutes.
  4. Take it out of the oven and carefully prick it with a skewer where it has swelled up (because it will rise, but don't be afraid of it), after 5 minutes, turn it upside down from the mold onto a wire rack, peel off the baking paper and let it cool completely.
  5. Heat the cream, pour it over the chopped chocolate, after standing for 3 minutes, stir vigorously with a fork to get a shiny, smooth topping. Mix in 2 dkg of butter, then pour it onto the cooled cookie and smooth it out. We can line it with two or three cubes of melted white chocolate, but we can sprinkle it with colored decorative sugar, we can decorate it with strawberries, but we can leave the glaze and sprinkle the top of our chocolate cube with a little powdered sugar.
