The contents of the title do not mean that you should get rid of your device, as there is no such TV that you can only watch Budapest on at night. Rather, we thought that even though most households now have flat-screen TVs, and they mostly look good rather than bad, there may still be problems with their placement. Although they do not take up much space, it is not certain that they fit into the milieu.

Manufacturers offer a lot of types and sizes of their devices, but understandably, they are not able to adapt the design to different home furnishing styles. The most that is required of them is to design devices whose colors and shapes are neutral, so that they do not clash with the other elements of the room. Many times, however, this is still not enough, since the screen, the basic and most spectacular part of the TV, does not fit everywhere. There is no way a large, shiny black surface can fit nicely into, say, a rustic-style room, a hunting lodge, or even an orientally furnished space.

Fortunately, however, we have options to hide the devices - or at least divert attention from them - and quite a few.

Frame or in frames

One, perhaps the best, solution is to buy a frame that is as big as the TV itself and has a style matching the room, and hang it on the wall. So it's like a black painting on the wall. Of course, the screen itself is there, but it still looks better. If you want to optically hide it even more, put it on a wall where there are several paintings and pictures around it: smaller ones, bigger ones, so that the flat screen blends in well with them.

Sliding on rails

Speaking of pictures, it can also be a good solution to disguise the device with a painting. However, you would need to move this in some way every time you looked at something, so it's not really a practical solution on its own. However, if you mount the picture used for the cover on a movable track, it will already be as if there were only a curtain in front of the device. The effect can be enhanced by choosing an image that consists of several pieces, so it can be slid to two sides. In this case, you have to cancel the frame, but it's not a big price.

“The TV can also be hidden in furniture. There are several solutions for this, there are specially designed fittings and hardware. There is one that works like an elevator, can be controlled with a remote control, so it is extremely comfortable, and the device is only in front when we actually use it.

The other solution is also a device installed in furniture, but here hiding actually means that the TV is visible on one side and on the other side, since in this case the TV can be "disappeared" with the help of a rotating assembly. The back wall behind the TV can be decorated, so when the monitor is not in front, we can see either a painting or decorative objects in the given space." - says interior designer and visual designer Zsoltai Tünde.

Projector

If you haven't found an option at all that would capture your imagination, but you can't bear to look at the ugly shape of the switched-off device, then there is a slightly expensive, but undoubtedly good solution, the projector. With this, the device itself will be very small, which can also be placed on the ceiling, in a small box, so it cannot be noticed at all. The surface on which the image is projected is clean and large, but it can also be covered with a cloth or curtain, as if there were a window there. And when you want to watch TV, all you have to do is pull the curtains and the show can start!
