If you still don't know what to buy for your relative or friend who loves travel and wellness, the list below can be useful.
The one who already had the sign of Artúr Gombóc in kindergarten
Christmas without chocolate? It's sad to even imagine such a thing. While Milka was the best when we were kids, and a box of Ferrero was luxury itself, today we treat ourselves to an artisan sweet that gives something for itself. Even at the last minute, it is worth choosing from the desserts of excellent domestic factories, instead of raiding the shelves of the corner supermarket.
You can also buy cubed, bite-sized alcohol or eggnog chocolate from the Lyan Chocolate Workshop in Budapest. At the Cadeau Bonbon Manufaktúra, originally in Gyula, but also available in Budapest, we can buy wonderful selections of bonbons for our gourmet friends. There is more, click here to tell us more.
For those who can hardly be kicked out of the wellness department
The clock is ticking and you still haven't come up with anything for your wellness enthusiast friend? Don't think any further, often the most self-explanatory gifts cause the greatest joy. For example, buy a quality essential oil set for die-hard sauna gurus, they will surely be grateful for the care. And it's good to know that an essential oil set consisting of 100% essences is not cheap at all. For example, we can buy rose oil for HUF 3,650, lavender oil for HUF 1,050, and Roman chamomile oil for HUF 3,650.
Does the giftee prefer to get wet? Let's buy him a bath ticket! If we buy a pair of tickets to the Demjén thermal bath near Eger (because it is not a very considerate thing to give one as a gift), we will get by with HUF 8,000. This includes the use of the outdoor and indoor pools open until two in the morning, as well as the price of an additional ticket for the diving pool, as the experience cannot be complete without this.
For those who travel a lot with wooden benches
Wandering through the Lilliputian world of 20 ml ointments and 50 ml sun lotions, we can put together a pretty little package of them. If the recipient often travels with only hand luggage on a plane with a 100 ml liquid limit, it is a particularly practical gift.
If you still have time for it, it's worth going through several drugstores and perfumeries and hunting down the best travel cosmetics so that the gift recipient doesn't get the impression that we just unthinkingly swept everything into our basket in one place. Really considerate gift givers arrange their swag in a resealable, transparent plastic bag so that the recipient can simply put it in their hand luggage on their next trip and go.
For those who love wine
Tokaj is wonderful, it offers not only divine juices, but also such great programs. Of course, it is worth looking around to see which winery offers which cellar visits, we chose this year's winner of the Vince Awards, Holdvölgy in Mád. A total of 108 branches of the centuries-old cellar system have been excavated, and the roads wind on three levels. The short tour combined with the wine tasting (nah!) lasts an hour and a half, during the walk five types of Holdvölgy wine and the ancient walls tell stories about Mád. The organizers also invite you to play a game, with the help of a map you have to find the Holdvölgy bottles hidden in the cellar labyrinth. (One ticket is HUF 3,500, and it is appropriate to give two of these as gifts.)
But we can also surprise wine lovers with a special bottle of wine, they certainly won't be offended. Of course, it doesn't matter what we give, it's worth choosing something exciting for a festive occasion. If we already recommended Tokaj earlier, let's stay in the wine region: with the 2013 szamorodni from the Barta Cellar in Mád, we are right in the ten thousand range, and it's a very nice gift, worth reaching deeper than usual in our pockets.
